About Me

I’m a copy editor and former PTA (physical therapist assistant) based in the Upstate of SC. Swimbikestumble is my attempt to share a sense of humor, credible information and the incredible adventure of endurance sports.

In 2009, I weighed 267 pounds, had a sobering conversation with my physician, and realized that I could not run all the way across a soccer field. I vowed to do better, hit the gym, and hoped to get back to running 5Ks. My crazy dream was to run a yearly 10K. Having run every standard distance from 5K to ultra (beyond 26.2 miles) and competed in sprint, Olympic and half iron distance triathlons, I have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

With this blog I hope to provide some of the inspiration, information and sense of humor needed for your own endurance sports dreams come true.

My favorite races include: Medoc Trail Races both 10 miler and marathon, St. Paddy’s Day Dash & Bash 5K, Ironman Augusta 70.3, and the Crooked Road 24 Hour Ultra.
